How it Happened – Game 1
Ithaca scored three runs in the second inning and held Pfeiffer scoreless until the sixth inning in taking a 4-1 win.
Ithaca pitcher Riley Piromalli limited Pfeiffer to just four hits while striking out six Falcon batters in the complete game.
All four of Pfeiffer's hits were doubles, with
Kyndell Warren,
Gracie Griffin,
Emma Chopko and
Jaci Cook providing the offense. Griffin's double in the sixth inning drove in the only Falcon run of the game.
Game 2
The Bombers scored runs in the second, third and fourth innings in building the 8-0 lead. Once again Ithaca's pitchers limited the Pfeiffer offense, allowing just two hits in the game, with Chopko hitting another double.Â
Ashlyn Kennedy had the other hit for Pfeiffer.
Ithaca's Anna Cornell improved to 3-1 on the season by allowing two hits while striking out eight Falcon batters.

Pfeiffer will regroup and will embark on a four-game road trip this upcoming weekend. Pfeiffer will travel to Ferrum for a doubleheader on Saturday, March 19 and will follow that trip with a pair of games at Bridgewater College on Sunday, March 20.
