Methodist Takes Win Over Pfeiffer Women's Lacrosse
Misenheimer, N.C. (April 12, 2022) – Visiting Methodist University used a nine goal outburst in the second quarter to distance themselves from Pfeiffer University while taking a 21-12 USA South women's lacrosse win at Lefko Field on Tuesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
After being tied at 3-3 at the end of the first quarter, Methodist outscored Pfeiffer 9-3 in the second quarter to break open the close game.
The Falcons would fight back to close the gap to 12-7 on a goal from sophomore
Julia Barbato on an assist from
Chloe Johnson to open the third quarter scoring at 14:11, but Methodist scored three straight goals to take the 15-7 lead.
Methodist would jump ahead 19-9 in the fourth quarter, but Pfeiffer responded with a pair of goals, one from Johnson and the other from freshman
Analise Robinson, her 30
th score of the season, to make it 19-11.
Robinson scored Pfeiffer's final goal of the game at 4:47 while Methodist added another at 3:45 to provide the 21-12 final.

Jordan Pendergraft made 16 saves on the afternoon while Robinson led Pfeiffer with five goals.Â
Alexis Murriel scored four times and added an assist for Pfeiffer. She also had team-best five ground balls and caused three turnovers.
