Misenheimer, N.C. (Oct. 17, 2023), -- The Pfeiffer women's soccer team fought back from a 1-0 deficit to take down Carolina University 2-1 on Tuesday night at N.E. Lefko Field.
Pfeiffer improved to 2-12-1 overall with the victory while Carolina U dips to 6-5-1 overall.
How it Happened
The visiting Bruins broke the scoreless tie when Sarah Walters scored in the 57th minute, assisted by Ashlyn Herzog.
The Falcons responded to tie things up on a goal from sophomore Yailine Riera -- her third goal of the season -- in the 81st minute, assisted by freshman Rory Hayden.
Pfeiffer then got the game-winner from freshman Victoria Tita as she scored in the 87th-minute. Tita unleashed a pair of shots in the sequence, the first of which was blocked. Tita then rebounded the ball and slid it past the Bruin goalkeeper to the wide side of the goal to provide the eventual 2-1 final.

- Sophomore goalkeeper Olivia Garver madeone save for the Falcons while facing six total shots.
