Pfeiffer Women's Lacrosse Falls in Home Game to Washington & Jefferson
Misenheimer, N.C. (March 9, 2023) – The Pfeiffer women's lacrosse team dropped a nonconference game on Monday afternoon to Washington & Jefferson College by a 19-7 score.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The visiting Presidents got a pair of early goals from Emily Heck to jump ahead 2-0. After another goal at 5:46 of the first quarter put WJC up 3-0, Pfeiffer's
Alyson Hanlon (Summerfield, N.C) scored with seven seconds remaining in the first quarter to pull to 3-1.
Brynne Stewart scored the first goal of the second quarter to put WJC up 4-1, but sophomore
Analise Robinson (Winston-Salem, N.C.) broke through and scored an unassisted goal at 12:55 to make it 4-2.
WJC would go on to score five unanswered goals to close the second quarter, taking a 9-2 advantage to halftime.
Following a WJC score to open the third quarter, Robinson scored back-to-back unassisted goals to bring Pfeiffer to 10-4.
WJC scored six more unanswered goals to finish the third quarter to extend their lead to 16-4.
Robinson would score three more times in the fourth quarter for Pfeiffer, but it was not enough, as WJC took the 19-7 win.
