Piedmont Drops Pfeiffer Women's Lacrosse, 23-8
MIsenheimer, N.C. (April 15, 2023) – Visiting Piedmont University held Pfeiffer University scoreless in the second half, taking a 23-8 USA South women's lacrosse win on a warm afternoon at Lefko Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Piedmont jumped out to an early 4-0 lead in the first quarter before Pfeiffer's
Analise Robinson (Winston-Salem, N.C.) tallied the first Falcon goal at 9:03. Two more Lion goals stretched the lead to 6-1 at 5:39.
Robinson scored the next two Pfeiffer goals at 3:30 and 3:03 to pull to 6-3. Following another pair of Piedmont goals in the second quarter, Robinson and
Julia Barbato notched the next two Pfeiffer scores at 12:27 and 9:40 to draw to 8-5.
Each team would score three more times in the second quarter to provide the 11-8 halftime score.
It was all Piedmont in the second half, as they scored seven third quarter goals to go up 18-8. They added another five in the fourth quarter while holding the Falcons scoreless to win 23-8
Inside the Box Score
Robinson scored a team-high five goals on nine shots for Pfeiffer. She also had four draw controls on the afternoon. Teammate
Julia Barbato (West Chester, Pa.) would have a pair of assists to go along with her three goals to finish with five total points. Barbato also had one ground ball and a team-high six draw controls.

Dashaniq Sidbury (Hampstead, N.C.) had one assist on the afternoon and a pair of ground balls..

Jordan Pendergraft managed three ground balls to go along with 14 saves for Pfeiffer.
