Pfeiffer Women's Cross Country Sixth at Roanoke Invitational
Salem, Va. (Oct. 21, 2024) – The Pfeiffer University women's cross country took home a sixth-place finish in the final tune-up before the USA South Championship.
The Falcons ran extremely well, as five of the six competitors ran personal best times while one other runner had a season best performance on the 6K course at Green Hill Park in Salem, Va.
Leading the way was sophomore
Maddie Hladik, as she finished in 48
th place in the field of 144 runners. Hladik's time of 23:35.1 is her collegiate best.
Freshman
Ryan Germain also claimed her collegiate best, running a 24:11.6 and finishing in the 59
th spot.
Also running collegiate bests were
Hayley Borst (25:24.8),
Katelyn Lentz (26:46.7) and
Brionna Saunders (29:27.3). Sophomore
Makayla Borst also posted her season-best time with a 24:49.2
The Falcons will turn their attention on running in the USA South Championship on Saturday, Nov. 2, as the league meet is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on the campus of North Carolina Wesleyan University in Rocky Mount, N.C.
