Box Score Pfeiffer Men's Tennis Dominates Knapp Family Invitational

Misenheimer, N.C. (Oct. 7, 2024)– The Pfeiffer University men's tennis dominated the competition as they hosted the Knapp Family Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 5 at the Knapp Tennis Center and North Stanly High School.


THE BASICS
Pfeiffer had complete control of the tournament, returning an overall singles record of 25-3 and 8-4 in doubles matches.

Pfeiffer had six players win their respective flights.  Senior Benedikt Pfeiffer won flight B, with wins over his JWU and Randolph opponents.

Mathius Dessureau won over JWU and Guilford in Flight C while Andres Valdez-Arze won Flight D.

Bogdan Stan (Flight E), Jan Prause (Flight F) and Goncalo Oliveira won his match in Flight H.

In the round-robin competition in Flight I, Ameno Morgan, Clay Patton, and Jason Geisbrecht all went 2-0

In doubles play, Morgan and Ameno won both of their doubles matches in the Orange Flight round-robin competition.

The Next Match
Pfeiffer will return to tournament play on Oct. 11-12 when they travel to Demorest, Ga. for the Piedmont Fall Foliage Tournament.
