Box Score Pfeiffer Men's Tennis Falls in Spring Opener to Piedmont
Misenheimer, N.C. (Feb. 16, 2024)– The Pfeiffer University men's tennis fell in their spring season opener to visiting Piedmont University on Friday afternoon at the Knapp Tennis Center.

RECORDS
Pfeiffer – 0-1
Piedmont – 2-1

THE BASICS
Pfeiffer won the doubles point with a pair of wins.  At No. 1, Benedikt Pfeiffer teamed with Mathius Dessureau to win 6-4 while the No. 3 team of Jayden Wellman and Mateo Sonaglia won their match by a 6-2 final.

In singles play, Piedmont took five of the ix matches, with the lone win coming from Benedikt Pfeiffer at No. 2.  He took down his Piedmont opponent in straight sets, winning, 6-4, 6-3.

BACK ON COURT
Pfeiffer will continue play on home courts on Saturday when they host Virginia Wesleyan at 2:00 p.m.
