Pfeiffer def. Piedmont, 4-0
DEMOREST, Ga. (Feb. 24, 2024) --
In game one, senior Kali Morton was dominant in the circle as she tossed a three-hit shutout to lead the Pfeiffer Falcons over the Piedmont Lions 4-0.
Morton (2-0) went the distance for Pfeiffer (7-0), giving up three hits, walking one and striking out nine.
Junior Kenzi Lyall led the way offensively for the Pfeiffer, going 2-for-3 at the plate with a double and an RBI. Junior Emma Chopko went 1-for-3 with a double, drew a walk and delivered an RBI. Freshman Emily Dickerson also chipped in, going 2-for-4 with an RBI.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Falcons took the lead for good in the first, scoring for the first time in the inning. Pfeiffer scored twice, with one run coming across on junior Emma Bullin's single.
The Falcons also added runs in the fourth and sixth innings on the way to the 4-0 victory.

In game two, junior Kenzi Lyall threw a four-hit shutout to lead the Pfeiffer past Piedmont, 4-0.
Lyall (3-0) went the distance for Pfeiffer, scattering four hits, walking two and striking out three.
At the plate, the Falcons were paced by junior Emma Bullin, who went 3-for-3 on the day with a double and two RBI. Junior Gracie Griffin put together a standout performance at the plate as well, going 2-for-3 with a double, a walk and an RBI. Lyall also chipped in for Pfeiffer offensively, putting together one hit in three trips to the plate while adding a double and a walk.

The Falcons took the lead for good in the fifth, pushing all four runs across. and held Piedmont to just one hit over the remainig of the game.
