Charlotte, N.C. - The Pfeiffer University women's outdoor track and field team had two new school records set as the outdoor season started at the 49ers Classic at the Irwin Belk Track and Field Center on the campus of UNC Charlotte.
Senior
Madison Lowery continued her assault on the Pfeiffer record books as she broke her own school record in the 5000m by running a time of 17:40.93, finishing in 16th place in the Division I adn II heavy field.

Jaela Thomas made her Pfeiffer debut a special one by breaking the school record in the 200m with a time of 25.32. The 200m record had stood since 2015.

Freshman
Paris Bennett, competing in her first collegiate meet, had a shot put mark of 10.48m, which is the fifth-best toss in school history.
The Falcons will return to competition on Friday, March 22 at the Elon Invitational in Elon, N.C.
