HIGH POINT, N.C. — The Pfeiffer women's track and field team turned in multiple record-setting performances at the VertKlasse Meeting hosted by High Point University, highlighted by a pair of new school standards and several all-time top-10 marks.
Mesiyah Howell paced the Falcons with a school-record performance in the 400 meters, crossing the line in 59.33 seconds. Howell also anchored the women's 4x100-meter relay team that established another Pfeiffer record, clocking 50.96 seconds alongside
Ge'Kayla Goins,
Savannah Wise and
Kenya Copeland.
Goins added another strong performance in the 400-meter hurdles, posting a time of 1:08.02 to move into second place on Pfeiffer's outdoor all-time list.
Makayla Borst delivered a solid effort in the 5,000 meters, finishing in 19:30.21, which ranks fourth in program history.
In additional action,
Lily Bolz recorded a personal best of 1:30.92 in the 400-meter hurdles, now seventh all-time at Pfeiffer.
Savannah Wise posted a time of 13.43 in the 100 meters to rank eighth in the outdoor record book, while
Kenya Copeland clocked 28.22 in the 200 meters, earning the 10th-best mark in program history.
