Pfeiffer Sets Multiple School Records at Charlotte 49ers Classic
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (March 22, 2026) — Pfeiffer University women's track and field turned in a record-breaking weekend at the Charlotte 49ers Classic, highlighted by two new school records in the jumps and several additions to the program's all-time top-10 list.
Ge'Kayla Goins led the Falcons with a
10th-place finish in the long jump, posting a school-record leap of
5.47 meters (17 feet, 11½ inches). Goins added three more top-10 program marks during the weekend, running
1:04.06 in the 400 meters (No. 6 all-time),
1:10.30 in the 400 hurdles (No. 2), and recording
10.44 meters (34-3) in the triple jump (No. 2).
Freshman
Jayden Carter delivered another standout performance, clearing
1.58 meters (5-2¼) to finish
second in the B-section high jump, breaking the Pfeiffer school record. Carter also placed
11th in the triple jump, where her mark of
11.08 meters (36-4¼) established a second school record on the weekend.
Several other Falcons posted all-time top-10 marks:
- Lily Bolz ran 21.68 in the 100-meter hurdles, placing her No. 6 in school history.
- Makayla Borst finished the 1500 meters in 5:04.59, the third-fastest time in program history.
The Falcons will travel to the Davidson Relays for their next competition on Saturday, March 28.
