Pfeiffer Volleyball Takes 3-1 Road Win at Bob Jones
GREENVILLE, S.C. (Oct. 16, 2025) — Pfeiffer University overcame a sluggish start to defeat Bob Jones University in four sets on Thursday evening at Davis Field House, winning 18-25, 25-22, 25-17, 25-11.
After dropping the opening set, Pfeiffer (9-11, 5-5) surged back behind a balanced offensive attack and improved efficiency. The Falcons posted a .195 hitting percentage overall, highlighted by a dominant .375 mark in the fourth set.
Senior outside hitterÂ
Madison Tate led the way with 10 kills on a .438 hitting percentage, while
Gabi Gama added nine kills and 13 digs.
Abby Lewis contributed a team-high 12 kills, while setterÂ
Karmen Rion orchestrated the offense with 22 assists and two service aces.
Pfeiffer's defense was equally impressive, recording 67 digs and eight total blocks. Senior libero
Gabby Edwards anchored the back row with 17 digs, while
Faith Miller and
Haedyn McGrath combined for six block assists.
Bob Jones (10-13, 3-2) struggled to maintain momentum after the first set, hitting just .057 for the match. Hannah Goodwin led the Bruins with 10 kills but also committed eight errors.
Pfeiffer closed the match emphatically, jumping to a 12-3 lead in the fourth set and never looking back. The Falcons outscored the Bruins 25-11 in the final frame to seal the non-conference victory.
The Falcons will return to USA South play on Saturday, Oct 18 when they travel to rival Greensboro College for a tri-match. Pfeiffer will take on the host Pride at Noon and will follow with a non-conference match with Randolph College at 2:00 p.m.
