Falcons Shine at JDL Fast Track Season Opener

MISENHEIMER, N.C. (Dec. 7, 2025) - The Pfeiffer University women's indoor track and field team opened ithe 2025-26 season at the Visit Winston-Salem College Kickoff, competing against a strong field of regional programs at the JDL Fast Track. 

Women's Highlights

• Sprints:
  Mesiyah Howell led the way in the 60m (8.34) and doubled back in the 200m (26.92), while Savannah Wise clocked 8.72 in the 60m and 29.20 in the 200m.
• Middle Distance:
  Katelyn Lentz (2:29.02) and Ryan Germain (2:30.01) paced the women's 800m squad, supported by Makayla Borst (2:34.92), Hayley Borst (2:43.15), and Brionna Saunders (3:02.75). Hayley Borst also ran the mile in 5:56.68.
• Relays:
  The women's 4x400m team (Lentz, Germain, Makayla Borst, Howell) finished in 4:28.67.
• Field Events:
  Jayden Carter cleared 1.44m in the high jump and reached 4.49m in the long jump.   Her mark in the high jump set a new school record, while her long jump mark wasthe third-best in school history.  Teammate Makayla Anderson threw 9.14m in the shot put and 9.65m in the weight throw.
  
  Pfeiffer will return to competition during the early portion of the 2026 spring semester when they return to the JDL Fast Track for the Asics SuperBlast Invitational on Sunday, Jan. 25, 2026
