Pfeiffer Women's Golf Opens Spring Play at Pfeiffer Invitational
Ocean Isle Beach, N.C. - (March 5, 2025) – The Pfeiffer University women's golf team opened the 2025 spring season by hosting the Pfeiffer Spring Invitational at the par 72, 5,639-yard Lion's Paw Golf Links at the Ocean Ridge Plantation in Ocean Isle Beach, N.C.
The Falcons came away with a ninth-place finish after carding a two-day total of 701 (+125). Pfeiffer was one shot behind former USA South member Averett University. Christopher Newport won the team event by shooting a two-day 629 (+53) while Bridgewater College finished second with a 664 (+88)
Individually, sophomore
Kirstyn Page was the top Falcon finisher, as she had a two-day score of 166 (+22) to finish in 14
th place.Â
Ella Couper had a 175(+31) to tie for 26thn place while freshman
Morgan Heilig had a 177 (+33) to finish in a tie for 30
th in the field of 71 players.
Individually, Hannah Rizzo from Bridgewater claimed medalist honors by shooting a 150 (+6) over the two-day event.
The Falcons will return to play on March 10-11 when they travel to Statesboro, Ga. to take part in the South Georgia Invitational hosted by Berry College at the Georgia Southern University Golf Course.
