Pfeiffer Women Finish Third at USA South Outdoor Track & Field Championship

Concord, N.C. (April 26, 2025) – The Pfeiffer University women's outdoor track and field team brought home a third-place finish at the USA South Outdoor Track and Field Championships held in Concord, N.C. on Friday and Saturday, April 25-26.

The Falcons brought home eight podium finishes over the two-day meet, including a pair of first-place finishes.

Sophomore Maddie Hladik captured the USA South title in the 10,000 meter run, finishing with a 40:18.56. She was joined by her teammate Makayla Borst, as Borst won the 3000m steeplechase on the first day of competition. With wins, Hladik and Borst earned first-team all-conference honors in their respective events.

Freshman Ryan Germain earned the Rookie Track Athlete of the Meet after finishing second in the 3000m steeplechase. Germain also claimed third in the 800m run and was on the 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams.

Katelyn Lentz also had a great meet, as she was second in the 800m with a time of 2:25.22.

In field events, Paris Bennett claimed third in the shot put and second in the discus.
