WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (Feb. 7, 2026) — The Pfeiffer University women's indoor track and field team delivered a strong weekend across the Camel City Sprints and Camel City Distance meets, highlighted by a new school record and several additions to the Falcons' all-time performance lists.
Mesiyah Howell led the way with a new indoor school record in the 200 meters, clocking 26.74. Her performance capped a breakthrough sprint day and now stands as one of the Falcons' top early-season marks.
Pfeiffer showed depth on the distance side as well.
Makayla Borst ran 11:14.91 in the 3000 meters, earning the No. 5 all-time indoor mark in program history, while teammate
Hayley Borst followed close behind in 11:50.33, good for No. 6 all-time.
In the mid-distance events,
Ryan Germain recorded two top-five program performances, running 1:03.64 in the 400 meters (No. 4 all-time) and 2:26.61 in the 800 meters (No. 4 all-time). Her versatility across multiple events continued to bolster the Falcons' overall scoring presence.
Pfeiffer also excelled in the field events, where
Jayden Carter delivered standout results in both the triple jump (10.24 meters) and the high jump. Her clearance of 1.45 meters ranks No. 4 in the USA South, while her 1.17-meter jump sits at No. 2 in the conference, marking one of the strongest vertical-jump weekends in program history.
The collection of school records and all-time marks made the Camel City meets one of the most productive weekends of the season for Pfeiffer.
The Falcons will make the short trek back to the JDL Fast Track for the ASICS Sound Invite on Saturday, Feb. 14.
