Ken Budd was a three-time Conference Carolinas Wrestling Champion throughout his career in Misenheimer.  He also won the District 26 Championship and the Area 7 Championship two times and was an NCAA Division II Regional Runner-Up.

He was named head coach of the Falcon wrestling program in 1983 and earned the Conference Carolinas Coach of the Year award in the 1983-84 season while helping develop heavyweight Bruce Lambert to becoming an All-American.

Budd currently is the head wrestling coach at Forsyth Country Day School in Lewisville, N.C.

In the community, Budd has coached over 50 different youth sports teams including wrestling, baseball, basketball, football and soccer.

He also is a past president of the Wake Forest University Deacon Club and is currently on the board of directors.  He also is a minority owner of the Winston-Salem Dash, the advanced Class A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox.
