BANNER ELK, N.C.â€"The Pfeiffer men's tennis team played a solid game Friday, picking up a Conference Carolinas win against Lees-McRae (4-11, 1-4 CC), 7-2.

The win improves the Falcons record to 12-4, 5-2 CC, placing them fifth in the conference standings.

The Falcons went a perfect 6-0 against the Bobcats in singles action. Oscar Van Koch, Axel Woerner, Bjorn Barwinski, and David Weir won their matches in straight sets. Woerner picks up his eleventh win of the season, with Van Koch, Barwinski, and Weir each scoring their tenth.

Stephen Miller went 3-6, 6-3, 6-2, to pick up his fifth straight win. Zach Huffman, playing in his first match, won 3-6, 7-6 (0), 10-4.

Barwinski and Van Koch scored Pfeiffer's lone doubles victory, winning 8-2. The duo improve their season record to 9-1.

The Falcon's will travel to Clinton, S.C. Saturday for an evening match against Presbyterian. Match starts at 5:00 p.m.
