Box Score 2 Pfeiffer Softball Takes Road Doubleheader Over Meredith
Raleigh, N.C. (April 3, 2021) – The Pfeiffer Falcons softball team took to the road and swept Meredith College in a USA South doubleheader in Raleigh, N.C. on Saturday.

How it Happened
With the score tied 5-5 in game one, Pfeiffer scored five runs in the top of the eighth and then held the host Angels to just two runs in the home half of the frame to take the 10-7 win.
Senior Makenzie Pennell (Taylorsville, N.C.) and junior Caiti Mickles (Boonville, N.C.) each hit homeruns in the game, with Mickles hitting two. Pennell finished with four RBI while Mickles had a pair.
Seniors Paige Love (Rock Hill, S.C.) and Reece Davis (Hickory, N.C.) hit doubles in the game one win.
Mickles got the win in the circle, as she pitched 7.1 innings, allowing six hits and two earned runs.
In game two, Davis hit a solo homer while Mickles doubled three times in the 10-3 win. Addison York (Olin, N.C.) also added a triple for the Falcons.
Taylor Parrish (Rockingham, N.C.) pitched 5.2 innings while getting the win, allowing just two hits while striking out seven Angel batters.
