HOW IT HAPPENED
The visiting Hornets started the game with a 2-0 lead early in the first quarter, but a pair of back-to-back goals from sophomore
Julia Barbato (West Palm Beach, Fla.) quickly knotted the game at 2-2. Kalamazoo would go up 3-2, but another goal from Barbato and senior
Ashley Bragg (Dallas, Ga.) gave Pfeiffer their first lead at 4-3.
Kalamazoo would open up a 9-7 lead with a goal just one second before halftime.
Pfeiffer would score the first two goals of the third quarter, with freshman
Analise Robinson (Winston-Salem, N.C.) and Barbato getting goals at 14:39 and 13:14, respectively.
A Hornet goal at 12:53 would put the visitors ahead 10-9, but a four-goal stretch, three of which were scored by Robinson boosted the Falcons lead to 13-10.
Kalamazoo would get goals at 12:40 and 11:30 to bring the Hornets to within 13-12, but the Falcons were steady on defense and held on for the win.

Jordan Pendergraft (Apex, N.C.) was stellar between the pipes, as she made 14 saves in the game. Pendergraft's effort gives her 166 saves for her career, which moves her to sixth-place all time in program history.
Robinson had the best game of her short career, scoring seven goals while dished a pair of assists. She also had three caused turnovers and scooped up three ground balls.
Barbato also played well in scoring five goals and dishing one assist.
Junior
Alexis Murriel (Gastonia, N.C.) had a team-high eight ground balls and caused havoc in the defensive end, forcing seven turnovers. She also had a pair of assists in the win.
