Pfeiffer Women's Lacrosse Wins Big at William Peace
Cary, N.C. (April 19, 2022) – The Pfeiffer University women's lacrosse team won handily on the road, defeating William Peace, 14-3 in a USA South game on Tuesday evening

HOW IT HAPPENED
Pfeiffer had a dominant first half, bolting out to a 7-0 lead in the first quarter and then adding four more in the second quarter to hold the 11-0 lead at halftime.
The Falcons would stretch the lead to 13-0 before WPU got onto the scoreboard with a goal with 3:20 left in the third quarter. The Pacers added two additional goals in the fourth quarter before Pfeiffer capped the scoring with 39 seconds left to provide the 14-3 final.
Inside the Box Score
Sophomore
Julia Barbato led the way with five goals while adding three assists, finishing with eight points on the game. She also caused a pair of turnovers and had two groundballs in the win.
Freshman
Analise Robinson scored four goals on the game and also controlled one ground ball while junior
Alexis Murriel had three goals, caused four turnovers and had a team-best five ground balls in the win.
Rounding out the scoring for Pfeiffer was junior
Alyson Hanlon and
Skylar Davis, as they each had one goal. Senior
Tracy Torrez provided a pair of assists and sophomore
Chloe Johnson also had an assist in the win.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Jordan Pendergraft picked up five saves for Pfeiffer while manning the cage, increasing her season total to 154 stops.

Pfeiffer will host N.C. Wesleyan in the final home match of the season on Saturday, April 23 at Noon. Prior to the game, the Falcons will honor three seniors who are playing in their final home game.
