Comeback Bid Falls Short as Women's Lacrosse Falls at
Birmingham- Southern
Birmingham, Ala. (March 12, 2023) – The Pfeiffer University women's lacrosse team made a tremendous second half comeback after finding themselves down 12-4 at halftime, but fell to host Birmingham-Southern 19-13 on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Down 12-4 at halftime, Pfeiffer stormed back in the third quarter, outscoring the Panthers 6-1 to close to 13-10.
In the quarter, Pfeiffer got three goals from sophomore
Analise Robinson (Winston-Salem, N.C.), one of which was player-down goal. Freshman
Skyla Jo Charette (Fort Myers, Fla.) had two goals in the span while junior
Julia Barbato (West Chester, Pa.) scored once.
Robinson would net a two fourth quarter goals while Chartette would get another score, also in the fourth quarter.
Inside the Box Score
All told, Robinson scored eight goals on the day, had four ground balls, three caused turnovers and four draw controls. Charette would finish with three goals and Barbato would get a pair of goals and an assist on the day. Barbato would also add 11 draw controls and a team-high five ground balls and five caused turnovers.
Goalkeeper
Jordan Pendergraft (Apex, N.C.) would post 11 saves on the day, and had one ground ball and one caused turnover.
