Pfeiffer Women's Lacrosse Runs Past Huntingdon, 18-8
Misenheimer, N.C. (March 30, 2024) – The Pfeiffer University women's lacrosse team jumped out to a 6-3 lead in the first quarter and held visiting Huntingdon College scoreless in the second en route to a convincing 18-8 win at Lefko-Mills Field a sunny Saturday afternoon

HOW IT HAPPENED
Pfeiffer wasted little time as they scored 51 seconds into the game on
Chloe Johnson's unassisted goal. Junior
Analise Robinson got her first goal of the game at 12:54 on a feed from senior
Julia Barbato to go up 2-0.
Huntingdon would tie the game at 2-2 before Barbato scored on an assist from Johnson at 10:10 to put Pfeiffer up for good.
Pfeiffer opened the second quarter with a player-up got from Robinson to make it 7-3. The Robinson would get two more scores in the quarter to help Pfeiffer to the 12-3 halftime lead.
The Pfeiffer lead would grow to 16-4 at the end of the third quarter. Huntingdon would outscore Pfeiffer in the fourth but it was too little too late for the Hawks, with Pfeiffer taking the 18-8 win.
Inside the Box Score
Analise Robinson would lead the way with seven goals on the afternoon. Her seven scores moves her to third overall in program history in goals with 142, surpassing Meagan Bourque (2017-2020), who finished her Falcon career with 136 goals.
Barbato would tally 11 points on the day by scoring five times and adding six assists. Â The 11-point mark is the sixth-best outing in program history, a feat Barbato achieved in 2023 against William Peace. She also had a pair of ground balls, one caused turnover and six draw controls.
Chloe Johnson scored three times and had one assist, two ground balls, three caused turnovers and three draw controls in the win.
Freshman
Cerys Reid scored twice and sophomore
Skyla Jo Charette had a goal and two assists. She also managed four draw controls and was 1-of-2 on free position shots.
Falcon goalkeeper
Jordan Pendergraft earned the win, making 10 saves on the day.
