Pfeiffer Women Fourth at USA South Indoor Track & Field Championship
Winston-Salem, N.C. (Feb. 28, 2025) – The Pfeiffer University women's indoor track and field team took home a fourth place finish at the USA South Indoor Track and Field Championships at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, N.C. on Friday.
The Falcons won two USA South event titles on the day. The distance medley relay team of
Ryan Germain, Mesiyah Howell,
Katelyn Lentz and
Makayla Borst captured the title by posting a 13:41.9 time, beating out second place Southern Virginia by over 19 seconds.
The same runners would close the meet by winning the 4x400 relay, the last event of the day, by edging out Methodist University by clocking a time of 4:18.27.
Maddie Hladik captured second place in the 5000m and third place in the 3000m. Lentz would add another podium finish for Pfeiffer by running a 2:24.03 to finish third in the 800m
Southern Virginia would win the team title while N.C. Wesleyan finished in second.
