Charlotte, N.C. (March 23, 2025)  - The Pfeiffer University women's track and field team opened the outdoor rrack and field Season with strong performances at the Charlotte 49er Invitational on Friday and Saturday.

Leading the way was Madeline Hladik who ran 18:55.29 in the 5,000 meters, finishing in 16th place
 
Teammate Mesiyah Howell also performed well in the 100 meters (13.0), 200 meters (26.20) and 400 meters (1:01.89) 
 
In field events, Makayla Anderson performed well in the shot put (9.60 meters) and hammer throw (35.38 meters)
 
Katelyn Lentz also ran well in the 400 meters with a time of 1:02.04.

Pfeiffer will return to participate in the Blue Bear Invitational hosted by Livingstone College in Salisbury, N.C. on Saturday, March 29.
