Pfeiffer Men's Golf Wins Falcon Shootout
Thomasville, N.C. - (March 19, 2025) –The Pfeiffer University men's golf team captured the Falcon Shootout Title by 12 strokes over USA South foe Southern Virginia and 13 other teams at the par 71, 6,809-yard Colonial Country Club in Thomasville, N.C. on Tuesday, March 18.
The team win for Pfeiffer is the first since winning the JWU Invitational at the Emerald Lakes Golf Club in Matthews, N.C. on March 15, 2021.
Individually, Pfeiffer's
Connor Key took home the individual medalist title by post a two-day total of 143 (+1), finishing ahead of Spartanburg Methodist's Preston Carr by four strokes.
A pair of Falcon freshman in
Aidan Hollar and
Will Reynolds also posted a great outing, as they finished in a tie for third place by shooting a 148 (+6). Hollar posted a score of 74 on both rounds while Reynolds shot a 75(+4) on day one and followed with a 73 (+2) on day two.
Wyatt Reeder also posted a top-10 finish, as he tied for ninth-place overall with a 150 (+8).
