Reeder Leads Falcons at Pfeiffer Spring Invitational

Ocean Isle Beach, N.C. - (March 5, 2025) – Sophomore Wyatt Reeder claimed a tie for fourth-place in leading the Falcons to a runner-up finish as they hosted the Pfeiffer Spring Invitational at the par 72, 6,964-yard Panther's Run Golf Links at the Ocean Ridge Plantation in Ocean Isle Beach, N.C.

Reeder, from nearby New London, N.C., shot a 73 in round one and followed with a 79 in round two to finish the event with a 152 (+8).  The tie for fourth place finish is the first top-5 career finish for Reeder.

Teammate Tyler Kepley finished with a +12 after shooting 78 on both days of the tournament while Connor Key completed the tournament with a +13 to finish in a tie for 16^th place.  Freshman Aidan Hollar claimed his first top-10 of his career, as the shot a 77 and 78 to finish at 155 (+11), finishing in a tie for 8^th place.

As a team, the Falcons finished in second place behind fellow USA South member Southern Virginia, who carded a 612 (+36), which was 14 strokes ahead of the Falcons.

Individually, Ian Williams from William Peace won the even by shooting a 69 on day one and following with an 80 on day two, completing the event with a 149 (+5).

The Falcons will return to play on March 17-18 with their second home event of the spring, when they host the Falcon Shootout at the Colonial Country Club in Thomasville, N.C.
