CHARLOTTE, N.C. - James Shepherd's overtime goal just 15 seconds in capped off a wild comeback as second-seeded Pfeiffer University picked up an 8-7 victory over third-seeded Queens in the second semifinal of the Conference Carolinas tournament on Friday afternoon. The win, a school-record 11th for the Falcons, push them into Sunday's championship game against top-seeded Limestone.

Pfeiffer trailed 6-2 to Queens with 5:14 to play in the third quarter as the comeback began with Shepherd's first of the day with 32 ticks left in the period. Behind three to start the fourth, Justin Rose would set the tone for the final 15 minutes with a strike just 68 seconds in.

Shepherd's second would get it to within one at 6-5 with 9:25 to play before Kory Lutes finally tied things up six-all just 44 seconds later. TC Whaley briefly gave the Royals a 7-6 advantage before Rose hit with the equalizer 3:27 before overtime.

Pfeiffer advances to 11-5 overall setting the new school-mark getting ready for a rematch with Limestone on Sunday afternoon. The Saints, much like the Falcons did on Friday, came back for an 8-7 win over the Falcons last Saturday in South Carolina.
