MISENHEIMER, N.C. - The Pfeiffer women's volleyball team (0-11, 0-4 CC) dropped its 11th straight match to start the season, falling to King (8-6, 3-1) in straight sets on Wednesday evening. Summer Kremer and Lauren Willoughby each finished with 12 kills for the Tornado who hit .397 as a team.
The Falcons were led by 10 kills from Kelly Lancellot as the senior also paced the team with a .389 hitting percentage.
Pfeiffer fell behind early and was unable to stop the bleeding. The Falcons were overwhelmed in the first set by the Tornado who took a 25-7 decision. The hosts would go on to take the second set by a score of 25-19 and then the final set by a 25-16 margin.
Pfeiffer had 22 kills compared to 21 errors on the evening and only managed a .013 hitting percentage.
Andrea Lopez and Haley Denny each finished with six digs for Pfeiffer and Katie Wilson handed out 12 assists in the match.
The Falcons look to end their cold streak as they host Mount Olive on Friday evening at 7 p.m.
