MISENHEIMER, N.C.- The Pfeifffer women's volleyball team fell to Conference Carolinas foe King on Wednesday night (25-23, 25-18, 25-19). Sophomore Shenelle Charlot paced the Falcons recording nine kills and five digs on the night.

The Falcons fell behind in the first set 20-18, when Talor Hewitt ignited a 4-0 run for Pfeiffer with back-to back service aces, giving the Falcons a 21-20 lead. However, the Tornados scored five of the last seven points for a set one victory. Pfeiffer was unable to recover dropping the next two sets, as King completed the sweep.

Lauren Willoughby led the Tornados with 13 kills and a .423 hitting percentage. Ashton Beckner recorded a match-high .500 hitting percentage and registered 11 kills for King.

Hewitt recorded a match-high services aces for Pfeiffer and added five digs. Kayla Hyatt added six kills, seven digs and one total block.

Pfeiffer returns to action, as they hit the road on Friday, October 23 for a 7:00 p.m. match against Lees-McRae.
