Banner Elk, N.C.- The Pfeiffer women's volleyball team fell to Lees-McRae on Friday night, three games to none (25-10, 25-12, 25-21). The Bobcats recorded 14 services aces on the night.

The Falcons dropped the first two sets to start the match. With the third set tied 7-7 a Kayla Hyatt kill ignited a run where Pfeiffer scored five of the next seven points to take an 11-8 lead. However, the Bobcats fought back to tie the set at 20, before scoring five of the last seven points to take the match.

Haylee Leonard led the Bobcats with eight kills and Rachel Cutshaw recorded six kills. Allyson Schillinger paced the offense with 17 assists and contributed four digs for Lees-McRae.

Shenelle Charlot had a team-high six kills and four digs. Kayla Hyatt added three kills and four total blocks for the Falcons. Laura Ann Fortner had five kills and two digs on the night.

Pfeiffer returns to action tomorrow with a 2:00 p.m. match against King.
