Box Score CENTRAL, S.C.- The Pfeiffer women's volleyball team finished off a two match road trip with a 3-0 loss to Conference Carolinas leader Southern Wesleyan (25-17, 25-10, 25-19). Kayla Hyatt paced the Falcons with a nine kills hitting .400 and recording four digs. Laura Ann Fortner added eight kills and a .357 hitting percentage.
After dropping the first two sets and fell behind 15-12 in the third set. The Falcons rattled off the next three points highlighted by a service ace by Erin Errington bring Pfeiffer within 15-16. However, that was as close as the Falcons got, as the Warriors rattled off seven of the last 12 points to take the match.
Southern Wesleyan had two girls with double digit kills, Paige O'Connor registered 11 kills and Katie Anderson added 10. Setter Megan Widener contributed a match-high 38 assists for the Warriors.
Katie Wilson recorded a team-high 23 assists and seven digs. Shenelle Charlot had six kills and six digs for the Falcons on the night.
Pfeiffer returns to action on Friday for a 3:00 p.m. matchup with Converse at Merner Gymnasium.
