MISENHEIMER, NC – Homecoming 2016 saw the Pfeiffer Falcons (4-4-1, 3-1) blank the Erskine Flying Fleet (3-6, 2-3 CC) as sophomore Ryanna Hammond scored two times on the day and freshman Kaley Hyatt recorded her first career shutout.
The Falcons had the only score of the first half as Hammond scored in the 36th minute off the assist from senior Lillie Brady.
Pfeiffer took control of the game in the second half as Hammond scored her second of the game in the 46th minute when she took a cross from the far right corner from Aryana Harvey
Harvey scored the Falcon's third goal of the game as she broke through the Flying Fleet defense and angled her shot to the right past goalkeeper Abbigale Schmidt.
With 20 minutes left in the game Hailey Havelind took a through ball from Hailey Metzger to give the Falcons a 4-0 lead.
Pfeiffer held the advantage in shots (32-5) and corner kicks (9-1) for the match.
Hyatt played the whole match and recorded two saves.
Havelind led Pfeiffer in shots as she recorded a match-high seven.
The Falcons return to action Wednesday, October 5th as they host Mount Olive in a Conference Carolinas contest at 5 p.m.
