The Pfeiffer women's volleyball team (0-12, 0-11 CC) dropped a pair of matches on Saturday. The Falcons lost the first match to conference rival King (9-11, 9-3 CC) by a score of 3-0. In the night cap Pfeiffer lost to Georgia College 3-0 (12-7)
After dropping the first set Pfeiffer looked to even the match up. The Falcons jumped out to a 18-15 lead. King responded by ending the match scoring 10 of the last 11 points to jump out to a 2-0 advantage.
Erin Errington led the Falcons in the first match recording a team-high 8 kills. Katie Wilson recorded seven services aces and had three services aces. Talor Hewitt posted a team-high with six kills to go along with two kills.
The Tornado posted a .382 hitting percentage, with 39 kills and 11 services aces. Becca Huddleston led King hitting .579 with 12 kills, and Ashton Beckner hit a blistering .875 with seven kills and one total block. Setter Abby Anderson posted a match-high 20 assists and added four digs on the evening.
The Bobcats had 12 services aces against Pfeiffer, and recorded four total blocks compared to only one for Pfeiffer. Taylor Svehla had seven kills on 12 attempts for North Georgia, and setter Kayla Brockway dished out 19 assists for the match.
Hewitt lead the Falcons against North Georgia with a team-high seven kills, and Blackburn set a career high with 15 digs on the night. Sam Smith recorded four kills, and two digs for Pfeiffer, and Errington chipped in with fours kills, to go along with eight digs.
The Falcons return to action on Tuesday, October 25, as Pfeiffer travels to Lees-McRae. First serve is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
