TIGERVILLE, SC – The Pfeiffer Falcons (6-4-1, 5-1 CC) women's soccer team recorded their second straight shutout of the season as they defeated North Greenville Crusaders (2-8-1, 0-6-1 CC), 3-0 on Saturday afternoon. Junior Kat Kelley led the charge as she scored two goals in the victory.
In the first half, Pfeiffer jumped out to a seven shot advantage as they took nine to the North Greenville's two.
Kelley took one shot in the first half and scored in the 22nd minute as she and teammate Macy Rutledge hooked up to take the early 1-0 lead.
After halftime, senior Brae Buster assisted Kelley on her second goal of the day as it got by the Crusader goalkeeper Madelynn Schober.
Aryana Harvey scored her fifth goal on the season and a goal in three consecutive games. The freshman put up a game-high eight shots for the Falcons.
Senior goalkeeper Deidre Gilley started her first game and recorded four saves for her first win of the season.
Pfeiffer returns to action on Wednesday, October 12th as they travel to Barton for a 5 p.m. kickoff.
