SPARTANBURG, SC- The Pfeiffer women's volleyball team (0-25, 0-15 CC) fell to Conference Carolinas foe Converse (2-21, 1-15 CC) 3-0 on Friday night. Erin Errington led the Falcons recording a team-high eight kills and recording four digs for the Falcons.
After dropping the first two sets Pfeiffer tried to get back on track. The Falcons jumped out to an early 4-1 lead. Converse responded scoring four of the next six points to tie the match up 6-6. With Pfeiffer trailing 20-16 a service ace by Errington sparked a run in which the Falcons scored three of the next four points to make the score 20-19, but the Valkyries responded by scoring five of the last seven points to record their second win of the season.
JaLesa Beaver paced Converse posting a match-high 11 kills, and registering a .333 hitting percentage. Deanna Unger had match highs in assists (25) and service aces (4).
Senior libero Brittany Blackburn had a match-high 14 digs for the Falcons. Talor Hewitt notched another good performance with seven kills, and seven digs for the match.
Pfeiffer concludes their season tomorrow with a 2:00 p.m. match at Limestone.
