Box Score MISENHEIMER, NC- The Pfeiffer women's volleyball team (0-7, 0-2 CC) fell 3-0 to Southern Wesleyan (3-7, 1-2 CC) in a one sided affair on Saturday afternoon. The Warriors posted a .449 hitting percentage compared to a .086 hitting percentage for the Falcons. Pfeiffer was paced by Kayla Hyatt, who recorded a team-high six kills.
SWU was led Sarah Hughey and Paige O'Connor. Hughey hit a blistering .684, while recording a match-high 14 kills, and O'Conner chipped in with 10 kills, posting a .526 hitting percentage with a team-high seven digs. The Warriors setter Annika Jones notched a great performance picking up 36 of the team's 42 assists for the match.
Katie Wilson posted a team-high six digs, added five assists and two kills for the Falcons. Freshman Tiana Gildernew had a team-high 11 helpers, and Sam Smith added four digs for Pfeiffer.
The Falcons return to action on Wednesday, September 21. Pfeiffer travels to King for a 7 p.m. matchup with the Tornado.
